Service

Kitchen Design & Engineering

Kitchen planning that starts with the menu, not the floor plan.

The brief we usually hear

I want expert help designing my kitchen.

How we approach it

We plan the kitchen around what it has to produce: menu mix, covers at peak, service format and staffing. Only then does the layout follow. The output is a coordinated set of drawings your architect and MEP consultant can build to - equipment schedules, general arrangements, and the utility loads every other trade needs before they can start.

What you receive

  • Kitchen layout and workflow drawings
  • Equipment schedule with specifications
  • Dimensioned general-arrangement drawings
  • Utility and service load schedules
  • Coordination with architectural and MEP drawings

What this service covers

4 areas of scope, delivered by the same team and coordinated as one package.

01

Kitchen layout & workflow planning

Zoning for goods-in, storage, preparation, cooking, service and wash, with the movement between them designed rather than left to chance.

02

Equipment schedules & GA drawings

A full schedule with dimensioned general-arrangement drawings, issued in a form the wider design team can coordinate against.

03

Utility & service loads

Electrical, gas, water, drainage and extraction loads per item, so the building services are sized on real numbers.

04

MEP & architectural coordination

We work to the architectural set and issue against it, rather than handing over a schedule and leaving the clashes to site.

Where this sits in a project

01

Brief & feasibility

We start with the menu, the covers and the space. What the kitchen must produce determines everything that follows - not the other way round.

02

Design & drawings

Layouts, equipment schedules and service loads, issued as drawings your architect and MEP consultant can coordinate against.

Send us the menu, the covers and the floor plan. We will come back with a considered view on what the kitchen needs - not a price list.
